Qur'an Pro privacy policy

Qur'an Pro is free for the ummah, for the sake of Allah. It has no account, no ads and no advertising identifier, and it never sells or shares anything about you. What you read, save and type stays on your device.

What stays on your device

Your bookmarks, notes, routines, goals, reading position, settings, searches and downloaded recitations are stored only on your iPhone or iPad. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes them.

Anonymous usage statistics

To learn which features are used and where the app can get better, Qur'an Pro sends anonymous usage events through Google Analytics for Firebase, for example "a surah was opened", "a reciter was chosen" or "a download finished", with the surah number or reciter where relevant.

• Never sent: your name, email, contacts, notes, bookmarks, search text or anything else you type.
• The app does not use Apple's advertising identifier, and the data is not used for tracking or advertising.
• Firebase uses a random identifier for the app on your device, and derives an approximate region (country or city) from the connection. It is not linked to who you are.
• You can turn this off at any time: Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage. Nothing is sent while it is off.

Notifications

Routine reminders are scheduled on your device. Occasionally, for moments such as Ramadan or Eid, we may send a greeting by push notification through Firebase Cloud Messaging. For that, Firebase receives a token for your device and the language the app is shown in. Notifications appear only if you allow them, and you can turn them off in your device's Settings.

Recitations and content

Recitations are downloaded from archive.org, and the list of reciters from GitHub Pages (adilbenmoussa.github.io), when you choose to play or download them. Like any website, those servers see your device's internet address for the request. The app sends them nothing else.

Children

Qur'an Pro is suitable for all ages and collects nothing that identifies anyone, child or adult.
